Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Knoxelhub provides tools for creating and joining courses, sharing learning content, managing assessments, communicating with course participants, and tracking learning progress. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Knoxelhub.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating or updating an account, such as your name, email address, profile information, course registration details, and communications. We also process course content, submissions, grades, attendance, announcements, queries, and other information you choose to add to a course.

We may collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, including sign-in events, browser and device information, IP address, diagnostic logs, and cookies used for authentication and preferences.

Google account and Google Drive data

If you choose Google sign-in, Knoxelhub receives basic account information authorized by you, such as your name and email address. If a course owner connects Google Drive, Knoxelhub requests permission to create and manage only the files and folders that Knoxelhub creates or that the user explicitly selects for use with Knoxelhub.

Google user data is used only to provide the requested sign-in and course file-storage features. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve the service, authenticate users, manage course access, deliver course features, send requested service and course notifications, provide support, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing and service providers

Course information is shared with teachers, course staff, and enrolled learners according to their role and the course settings. We may use service providers for hosting, email delivery, authentication, file storage, monitoring, and other operational functions. They may process information only as needed to provide those services and under appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.

Data retention and deletion

We retain information while your account or relevant course remains active and as reasonably necessary for service operation, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You may disconnect Google Drive from course settings to stop future access. You may also request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Some records may be retained where legally required or where legitimate educational records must be preserved.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their credentials and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

Children and educational use

Organizations and teachers using Knoxelhub are responsible for ensuring that their use of the service, including use by minors, has the permissions and notices required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The revised date shown above will identify the latest version.
